Andrew Brinker is a reporter on The Boston Globe’s business team, covering housing and the cost of living in Greater Boston. His work focuses on dissecting the region’s intractable housing crisis, exploring how it plays out in people’s lives, and looking closely at policy solutions.

He previously spent a year working for the Globe’s metro section, writing crime stories and news features.

Before joining the Globe, he was the news editor of The Berkeley Beacon, Emerson College’s student-run newspaper, where he directed a team of reporters covering college re-openings through the lens of public health.
